PRO (WA): Converting [Flower] to [Flower Lot] via Assign/Convert
In Washington State, it is required that inventory assigned to the inventory type [Flower] must be converted to a product of the inventory type [Flower Lot] to create QA Samples. This guide is intended to show you how to do this from the Inventory Management > Batches page, without the need to perform a Production Run (instead, you can simply use the 'Assign/Convert' feature).
Converting inventory via Assign/Convert
- Navigate to Inventory Management > Batches.
- Locate the [Flower] batch in question using the filters available on this page (Product Name, Barcode, Location, or Room)

- Right-click on the intended batch and select "Assign/Convert"
The batch must be 'Available' to successfully convert it to another product. This can be done via the right-click menu by selecting 'Make Available'. - In the pop-up window, enter the name of the product you wish to convert the batch to (such as a "Bulk Flower Lot" product).

- Once the intended flower lot product is selected from the dropdown menu, select "Convert"
- This will create a new batch (with a new barcode) that is assigned to the intended [Flower Lot] product
- At this point, you can create a QA Sample from the new [Flower Lot] batch as desired.
Most conversions should be completed via Production Runs, but the 'Assign/Convert' feature is a great tool when you need to simply convert a [Flower] inventory batch to a [Flower Lot] inventory batch.
