Creating New Discounts 

A discount is a desired amount to reduce product pricing at the terminal. Discounts are added in the POS Back Office. A discount must be attached to a Promotion to appear at the terminal. 

To add a discount, begin in the POS Marketing module.

  1. Navigate to the Discounts page in the Marketing Module.
  2. Select "Add New Discount".
  1. Enter the new discount's name.
    *Discount code is a future feature.*
  2. Choose the Discount Amount Type. This can be a percentage discount or dollar amount.
  3. Enter the Discount Amount. This is the amount you wish to discount. 
  4. Select from the relevant option toggles:
    1. "Is Coupon" option defines the discount as a loyalty redemption reward.
    2. "Apply Automatically" sets the discount to automatically apply at the terminal (note: system will apply the discount automatically to all products unless otherwise specified). Leave this unchecked to define the discount as a button to be selected during checkout.
    3. "Apply To All Locations" sets the discount as available to be applied at all locations.
  5. Click "Save".
