PRO: Inventory Rooms - Working with Rooms
Working with Rooms
Inventory Rooms represent the physical locations where inventory is stored, as opposed to Plant rooms, which contain living plants. Every Batch in the system should have a room assignment for inventory tracking purposes.
If you do not assign a room to a product prior to making a sale you may get an error when processing the order.
You can navigate to Rooms either from Inventory Management > Inventory Rooms or Grow > Rooms.
Keep in mind that you will only be able to view the rooms for one license at a time, so if you have more than one license be sure to select the correct one from the drop-down menu at the top right of your screen.
Rooms can be added manually by using the “+Add New Room” button on the top left.
Enter the room name, select a room type, and the license/location the room is associated with.
In addition, you will need to indicate whether it is a plant room (live plants only) or an inventory room (which tracks weight), and click “Save Room”.
Once rooms have plant information associated with them you’ll be able to hover your mouse pointer over the totals to see a breakdown of how many plants of each strain are in the room. In the example below, the mouse pointer is hovering over the Vegetative count and the pop up “strain breakdown” shows the count of each strain in the room.
Once the rooms have been created in your system you will be able to use the “Move Plants” tool in Grow > Grow Cycles or Grow > Plants to move plants to any Plant room. You will be limited to only Plant rooms when moving plants.
In Inventory Management > Batches you can move items between inventory rooms using the “Change Room” command from the right-click menu. You will be limited to only inventory rooms when moving Batches.
A product Batch must have a Room assignment before it is added to a Sales Cart or you will get an error message while fulfilling the order.
