OMMA has released the deadline for migrating and getting your beginning inventory into Metrc. It is now 5/26/2022.
What does this mean for me?
If you have not yet migrated into Metrc, the deadline for training and migration is now 5/26/2022, as Metrc is the OMMA-selected statewide tracking system. OMMA will be providing additional details as well as training as the time gets closer. Any operators beginning migration now should allow for up to 10 days for the full process of ordering, shipment, and attaching Metrc UID tags.
If you have migrated your inventory into Metrc, you can continue to use Cultivera integrated with Metrc as you are already fully migrated and live on Metrc.
If you've already ordered tags or partially onboarded with METRC previously
- Any Metrc tags you have already used digitally are likely "used" permanently and will be unrecoverable in Metrc when you use Metrc again in the future. If you've ordered, but have not used the tags yet, they will have to be physically in use by May 26.
- If you've been using Cultivera stand-alone but had ever been connected to METRC, you will likely need to manually clean up and discontinue all of the active inventory and plants in Metrc before syncing with Cultivera, which may involve METRC Support assistance. Metrc does not give 3rd party integrators like Cultivera a method to "discontinue" packages and plants via our API integrations - this can only be done directly in the Metrc user interface and will most likely be required for the licensee to do manually in Metrc.
- You will need to continue/resume filing your monthly reports with OMMA until further notice.
If you're not live on METRC yet but want to transfer or sell to someone who is
Currently any licensee that is live on Metrc can receive inventory from a vendor outside of Metrc using the process of "External Transfers" in Metrc directly.
Steps:
- Choose "External" from the transfers drop-down:
- Choose "Outgoing" (if you're selling to someone not on Metrc) or "Incoming" (if you're buying from someone not on Metrc):
- Select "New Transfer":
- Enter in all the transfer information (for incoming transfers, you will need to assign your Metrc UID tags to each line item) and then select Register Transfer:
